Terms & Conditions

Last updated: April 2026

These are the basic terms for working with MakeItWorkMitch. No tricks buried in here. Read through it — it's short.

The Services

MakeItWorkMitch provides handyman and general repair services to residential and small commercial customers. Work is scheduled by appointment. I show up, I do the job, I clean up after myself.

Text Message Communications

By contacting MakeItWorkMitch via phone or text to request services, you agree to receive text messages related to your service request. These messages may include:

Message frequency will vary based on your service requests. Message and data rates may apply. To stop receiving messages, reply STOP at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. Opting out will not affect your ability to book services.

Estimates and Pricing

Estimates are provided in good faith based on what I can see at the time. If I open a wall and find something unexpected, I'll tell you before I keep going. You won't get a surprise bill for work you didn't agree to.

Payment

Payment is due when the job is complete unless we've worked out something else in advance. I accept cash, check, and most major cards. For larger jobs, a deposit may be required to hold your spot on the schedule.

Cancellations

Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give me as much notice as you can — 24 hours is appreciated. Last-minute cancellations on large jobs may be subject to a small fee to cover time already set aside.

My Work

I stand behind what I do. If something I worked on isn't right, tell me and I'll come back and fix it. That said, I'm not responsible for pre-existing conditions in your home, damage caused by other contractors, or problems that come up well after the work is done through no fault of the repair.

Liability

MakeItWorkMitch carries general liability insurance. In the unlikely event something goes sideways, my liability is limited to the cost of the work performed. I'm not on the hook for indirect or consequential damages.

Your Responsibilities

You're responsible for making sure I have safe access to the work area and that the information you give me about the job is accurate. If there are hazards I should know about — asbestos, prior water damage, whatever — please tell me upfront.

Changes to These Terms

If I update this page, the date at the top changes. Continuing to use my services after that means you're good with the new terms.
